HTTP (HTTPS) vs FTP (SFTP/FTPS)

Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) are application layer protocols that can allow you to transfer files between two systems. In this case, your server's system and the system of DataFeedWatch.

But what’s the difference in DataFeedWatch—and which one to choose for your shop?

HTTP (HTTPS) connection is easier in terms of configuration. All you need to do is paste the link to your feed, for the connection to be established.

FTP (SFTP, FTPS) on the other hand, requires not only the link, but also user/password credentials. Sometimes also additional connection details. This type of connection is safer, but not as efficient in terms of performance.
