Why some products can't be matched with ASINs?

Paweł Updated by Paweł

To sell a product available in the Amazon catalog, merchants need to match the given product with the existing ASIN. If the product is not yet available in the Amazon catalog, a new ASIN will need to be created for your product.

Usually ASINs are based on GTINs or other product identifiers, so you might want to check the GTINs for correctness before creating your ASINs.

In Amazon, the number of new listings is limited. It depends on your sales history, listing creation history, etc.

Remember that you can't create a new ASIN for a product that already exists in Amazon’s catalog.

Detailed Creating ASINs Options
Method 1: Create an ASIN on Amazon Seller Central (via web interface)
- This method is suited for creating one or a small number of ASINs;
- This is the simplest method, but is time-consuming for creating many ASINs.
Method 2: Create an ASIN on Amazon Seller Central (via a file upload).
- This method is suited for one-time creation of many ASINs;
- Requires familiarity with using spreadsheets and time to populate the file.
Method 3: Create an ASIN using DataFeedWatch.
- This method is suited for the on-going creation of ASINs directly from your product catalog;
- You can create ASINs without logging into Amazon Seller Central.
