How to connect your OpenCart store to import your product data:
1. Log in to your OpenCart dashboard and keep it opened in another tab.
2. In another tab, log in to the DataFeedWatch app.
3. Navigate to Shops.
4. Click on the blue button Add Shop below the Shop list.
5. Before you select OpenCart to connect, and import your product data, name your shop.
Why should you name your shop?
Giving your shop a name makes it easier to identify among others on your shop list. You can choose any name you like—it won’t affect feed optimization.
6. Next, start setting up your input feed.
What is input feed?
An input feed is the product data you import from your shop or another source so we can create an optimized channel feed.
7. Select OpenCart from the list of Shopping Carts.
8. Provide your OpenCart URL in the designated field.
9. Click on Download DataFeedWatch Connector to download the file with the extension.
If you are using older versions of OpenCart, click the drop-down menu below the main button to select the corresponding connector for your version.
10. Save the file.
Remember to save a file under the name:
-> dfwconnector-opencart.ocmod.zip. for the older versions than 4.x;
-> dfwconnector.ocmod.zip for the latest 4.x OpenCart version.
Any different file name versions may cause problems in the further stages.
11. Go to the OpenCart Dashboard.
12. On the left-hand navigation, go to Extensions, then click on Installer.
13. Once the Extensions Installer opens, click the dark blue button: Upload.
14. Select the file you have just saved (dfwconnector opencart.ocmod.zip or dfwconnector.ocmod.zip).
15. Once your installation is complete, navigate to the side navigation and click on Extensions.
16. Look at the main screen of Extensions. Click on the drop-down menu under Choose the extension type.
17. From the drop-down menu, select Modules.
18. Once the Modules list opens, scroll down to DataFeedWatch Connector.
19. As you can see, your connector status is Disabled.
20. Click on the right-hand green button + to install the plugin. The status changes to Enabled.
21. Click on the Edit icon.
22. Your Store Key will appear, ready to be copied.
23. Copy Your Store Key, and go to DataFeedWatch to paste it into the corresponding field.
24. Click on the Next: Schedule Updates to proceed.
25. In the Updates schedule:
a. Select the timezone of your updates.
b. Choose at what time you want your updates to take effect.
c. Choose how you would like us to inform you about possible product drops and set up the values according to your preferences.
26. Click on Next: Upload Your Products.
Once we finish downloading your products, you can map your feed.
