How to fill in missing sizes and colors with AI

✨ As for now, using the AI Optimization feature is available when:

You map Google Shopping, Facebook, Bing, TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest channels
Your source feed is in English, German, Polish, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian

We're working on developing the possibilities for more channels.

What does AI do?

Size and color

AI reviews the values for your size and colors from your store and the Master Fields in DataFeedWatch.

✨ It scans the data and checks for any missing values.

✨ It looks for the missing data in the other data from your feed, amongst the other in your title.

✨ It fills in the missing values and completes your output feed.

✨ It does not 'make up' new information.

✨ It improves readability.

✨ It corrects spelling and grammar mistakes.

AI will fill in the missing values if it finds them in the other data. If AI doesn't find the matching value, the value will remain empty.

How to apply AI to fill in missing sizes and colors

1. Map Your Master Fields

To find missing color or size values, AI reviews all the product data downloaded from your store and the Master Fields in DataFeedWatch. That's why providing data in Master Fields is crucial to make the AI work.
When you've selected the field to map the Master Field, the AI will seek the missing values and let you know how many are missing.

2. Map Your Channel Fields

If you want AI to fill in the missing values:

Go to the Map Channels Fields.
Head to the size and/or color attribute.
Select Use.
Then, from the following field, select the Master Field size+ AI-filled.
Click Save and Proceed.

💡 You can use Preview to look at the results of the AI optimization

Just click on Preview and check them out! Please note that we can only display the AI-optimized values of several products.

Once you finish mapping your channel, you’ll find complete AI-optimized values on your Channel Products page.

Preview data provided by AI before you send them to the channel

Could you check the AI optimization results before sending your output feed to the target channel? Yes!

1. Preview data on Map Your Channel Fields

You can check them already when you map your channel fields. Just click on the Preview.

In the Preview, we can only display the AI-Filled values of several products.

The first two columns, Product ID & Title, help you identify the product.
In the next column, Provided Fields (Input), we display the data from your source feed and the Master Fields you provided.
The following column, Channel Field (Output), shows the value we’ll display in your output feed. The purple field means that AI has made its work on it. ✨

2. Download all AI-filled data

Download the Comparison of AI and your Input to see how the AI filled in the missing size and color values.

1. Click on the button Download data as.

2. When the drop-down menu opens, select Comparison of AI and your Input in the preferred format, CSV or XLXS.

3. Once downloaded, you can see the data from your input feed and the one provided by AI.

3. You can also check the results directly on the Channel Products page:

The size and color attributes are not visible by default on the Channel Products.

To see what values the AI has filled in, you need to:

1. On Channel Products, click the Customize Columns button.

2. Look for the properties Size + AI-filled and Color + AI-filled.

Use the search bar to find the properties quickly.

3. Click Apply.

4. You will see the AI results in the columns Size + AI-Filled and Color + AI-Filled.

What if I don't like the AI-filled sizes and/or colors?

No problem! You can always change the mapping and select another field:

1. Head to Map Your Channel Fields.

2. Head to the size and/or color field.

3. Click on the size + AI-filled/color+ AI-filled field.

4. Select the field you want to use to map size and/or color.

5. Click on Save Changes.
